Χαῖρε!!!
January 1st, 2011
Χαῖρε!!!
Welcome to our site!!!
We intend to open, along with whoever else is interested, a new era of studies of Greece, both the Ancient and the Modern.
Aiming to promote and share materials and information concerning the Greece in any language, such as textbooks and original Greek, Grammar, Literature, History and Philosophy, Music, Theater, Culture etc., this site was created by us.
Do not be surprised to see some text written in Ancient Greek. This will be one of our goals: Making the Ancient Greek Language a language “alive”, not “a dead language, ” not just a language analysis and syntactic translations, but in the same language spoken and written by Plato, Socrates, Aristotle Aristophanes, Sophocles, Hesiod, Homer …
According to Aristotle, "a knowledge should not be saved only for ourselves, but should rather be transmitted to others."
We appreciate the cooperation of my family :
Axel VERNAUT, Hatus VERNAUT, Arthur K. VERNAUT (brothers), Ina VERNAUT (my mother), Ricardo Vernaut (my father and mentor). We also thank our professor of Greek Language and Literature and friend André ALONSO which has long been helping and encouraging.
